Loving this world is a creative act.

The 4th Season Gallery showcases photos, poems, pieces, artifacts, audios, discoveries, explorations, and more.

Featuring 4th Season participants and friends, the Gallery rotates through the seasons, not in any particular order. We live in a world of disruption and discontinuity, speed and sidetracking, desecration and disorientation. Taking the time to consider, contemplate, create, and reflect is essential. Whether we must metabolize or mobilize, the body may be allowed to body-forth, mind able to settle and see.

Enjoy the sights and sounds. Take care with them.

Welcoming Beginner’s Mind

A Reflection on Welcoming Practice

by Aynsley Vogel

Winter: A Poetic Meditation

by Jill Lanier

You stand at transition’s edge
where light meets dark
equally matched on either side of the border
between alert and slumber

You long for release from a past
moistened by salty tears of loss
that have traced a glistening path
down the surfaces of your Soul
eventually collecting within
your Spirit’s deepest reservoirs

You surrender to the season’s
whispering siren call to sleep
sinking gratefully into its swaddling cocoon
freed ever so gently
from fall’s receding light

Your descent quickens
and your eagerness grows
to accept the Solstice’s urgent invitation
to gestate stillness

Now insulated from upper world’s hectic pace
your senses drowse as you settle into
inner world’s darkened depths

In the silent dimness
you reluctantly relinquish distant memories
gambling on Faith’s fragile strength
to harness a yet to unfold future

Epilogue

Each moment we die
but are also reborn

The cycle begins again and again
like an endlessly petaled fractal

bringing forth an eternity
of change…

In the spirit of welcoming creativity…
